Firm History
Founded in 1987 by the husband and wife team of Richard and Susan Foley, the firm was incorporated in 1988 as Foley & Foley, P.C. Ten years later, the firm narrowed its practice areas to estate planning, business law, probate and trust administration. William M. Pearson joined the firm in 2004, became a shareholder in 2010, and in 2013 the firm was renamed Foley, Foley & Pearson, P.C. Chelsea Ray Riekkola joined the firm as an associate attorney in 2014 and became a shareholder in 2020. Susan Foley retired from the firm in 2016. Richard Foley retired from the practice of law in 2019. In 2020 the firm was renamed Foley & Pearson, P.C. and Melanie Iverson Kaufman joined the firm as an associate attorney after practicing law at another estate planning law firm for five years, and became a shareholder in 2024. Emil Betro joined the firm as an associate attorney in 2023.
Today, Foley & Pearson, P.C. continues to offer an effective and compassionate approach to estate planning and probate matters through its dedicated team of attorneys, paralegals and professional assistants.
