About Foley & Pearson

Firm History

Founded in 1987 by the husband and wife team of Richard and Susan Foley, the firm was incorporated in 1988 as Foley & Foley, P.C.  Ten years later, the firm narrowed its practice areas to estate planning, business law, probate and trust administration.  William M. Pearson joined the firm in 2004, became a shareholder in 2010, and in 2013 the firm was renamed Foley, Foley & Pearson, P.C.  Chelsea Ray Riekkola joined the firm as an associate attorney in 2014 and became a shareholder in 2020. Susan Foley retired from the firm in 2016. Richard Foley retired from the practice of law in 2019. In 2020 the firm was renamed Foley & Pearson, P.C. and Melanie Iverson Kaufman joined the firm as an associate attorney after practicing law at another estate planning law firm for five years, and became a shareholder in 2024. Emil Betro joined the firm as an associate attorney in 2023.

Today, Foley & Pearson, P.C. continues to offer an effective and compassionate approach to estate planning and probate matters through its dedicated team of attorneys, paralegals and professional assistants. Every member of our staff strives to uphold our reputation for compassion, trustworthiness, integrity, professionalism, knowledge and experience.
